Well, it’s over, and it’s time to review.

This past year I had set a personal goal of 100K words for NaNoWriMo. I can now say that I wrote a 100,370 word novel. Here are my thoughts.

How's your NaNoWriMo going? How's mine? Well, let me tell you…

Every time I meet someone, be it a person off the street or another writer, the question I get asked first is, “What do you write?”, or “What genre do you write?”
That's a troublesome question to answer.

Time flies. The older you are, the faster it flies. We are weeks away from November, and that means NaNoWriMo.

Do you know how it feels when you wake up after a long night of partying and mind-numbing drinking? Neither do I. Because that’s not how I feel this morning.

Yes, yes, I know. I haven’t been updating this blog as often as I should, and I need to explain. I don’t blog to garner more “followers” or make more money. I blog when I have something I feel is interesting or important enough to say. Even though a lot may be happening in the writing part of my life, often I don’t feel any of it is worthy of a post. I have something new that is worth a post.

Yesterday, I hit my personal goal of writing 75K words in 20 days. I did it in 18 since I took last weekend off. Going into this self-challenge, I wasn’t sure I could. Yesterday, I learned I could and a lot more. Here are some of my thoughts.

I won NaNoWriMo this past Friday, by crossing the 50K word mark. I made it with 50,007.

We’re off! I hope everyone taking part is still writing and not given up. If not, congratulations.

The older one gets, the faster time seems to move. It’s already time for NaNoWriMo again.
