There are many ways into writing, but a good place to start is being a good reader. Pay attention to what you enjoy reading; if you're really not into a particular genre, you probably don't want to write in it. It's good to know what styles of writing you feel drawn to, then practise... and practise ... and practise. That is, write even when you're not sure you'll have an audience.
Writing is experimentation. It is playing with ideas and asking questions. The more you write, the more you will know what feels really challenging to find flow in, and what comes more naturally to you.
You can also take creative writing courses, which can help with writing styles, format, structure and voice.
I hope this helps. :)(less)

“I don’t think I expect much from the world, until Palestinian interests align with superpowers' interests, we are not going to get much. So, focus on the little things, what can I as a person do? How can I change somebody’s life? How can I influence somebody’s perception of who Palestinians are? What we are all about?”
Amal Awad, Beyond Veiled Clichés: The Real Lives of Arab Women

“You can choose what your life looks like.’ ‘Yeah. Which is not common here. Because the expectations are very limiting, it’s almost like you don’t have a choice.”
Amal Awad, Beyond Veiled Clichés: The Real Lives of Arab Women

“I’m with equality. If that’s how you want to talk to me, that’s how I’m going to talk to you.”
Amal Awad, Beyond Veiled Clichés: The Real Lives of Arab Women
