Sneak Peak
“My goodness!” She exclaimed in a whisper, totally in awe. The high ceilings continued from the bedroom into the bathroom. A glass front shower that could fit the Knicks starting five was the focal point of the room. Mosaic tiles covered every surface inside the shower. She counted six shower heads projecting from various points in the shower. Another door left of the shower opened into a smaller room with a toilet inside. The sink sat opposite the shower with a mirror above it that spanned the entire wall.
Her mind was racing with ideas. She decided to go see if all of the rooms followed this same floor plan; if so, it would make the brainstorming part of her job much easier.
As she turned to head out of the bathroom, she rammed into something that she could only guess was a wall made of titanium. The impact knocked her down onto her butt.
"Ouch!" She squeezed her eyes shut on the way down, like that was supposed to somehow cushion the fall.
Upon opening them, she realized that she hadn't run into a wall, but the hard chest of the evil Mr. Stemble.
Bastard didn't even have the decency to try and catch me.
“Well, are you going to help me up?" She snapped, glaring up at him from the floor.
“No." He replied tersely, a bored expression on his face.
“You do realize that I’m only on my ass because you knocked me down, right?”
“If you’d been paying attention, you wouldn’t have run into me.” He replied, jaw clenched tightly.
Dropping her chin to her chest Kallie took three deep fortifying breaths, calling upon all of her strength to not kick his legs from beneath him.
Lord help this man. Help him, by helping me not knock his tail down.
She gave herself a couple more seconds on the ground figuring the Lord was listening since she kept her feet to herself.
She reached back and massaged her now sore behind, "Hasn't anybody ever told you that it's common damn decency to announce when you enter a room and the person inside has no clue, so they don't turn and get knocked on their ass?” She snapped, getting more aggravated the longer she was on the floor. Her butt really hurt. And this jerk had the audacity to be standing there looking as good as sin and with an attitude to boot. The warm woodsy scent of his soap enveloping her like a cozy blanket.
"I have something for you." He huffed, still not offering any assistance.
"What?" She asked, coming to her knees before standing fully erect in front of him.
Damn he’s literally a foot taller than me. How the freak would we have se… Kallie, really? This giant just knocked you on your ass and you’re trying to figure out how to climb him? Reel it in, girly. She chided.
He held out the blueprints, which she snatched. "You were supposed to come and get them on Tuesday. I'm not a..."
"Very nice person. I've noticed. I didn't ask you to hold them. You could have dropped them on the kitchen island. Would have been fine with me," she propped her hands on her hips, rearing for an argument, "Next time anything is given to you for me, why don't you just do that? Our paths won't have to cross, and I don't have to see your f...

slowly working towards release
So, I finished writing a couple of weeks ago. I did one rough read through/ edit before giving it out to reviewers. I'm so nervous. I am an extremely tough reviewer. Extremely tough. Can sometimes be extrememly harsh. Boy do I regret all of the negative reviews I've ever given. I'm so scared that someone is going to do that for my book. Don't get me wrong, as an author, sometimes negative feedback is helpful. However, sometimes it can rip your entire soul out. What did Erykah Badu say? I'm an artist and I'm sensitive about my shit. In my mind, I think my book is really good. Especially for a first go round. I just hope others feel the same way. I've actually started another project, hoping to keep my mind off what the reviewers will say. I have less than 30 days before the release and would like to get two extremely thorough edits in prior to then. Once I get the reviews, I'll go back and painstakenly comb through every deail until I feel it's perfect enough to send out into the world.
This is just me rambling.
This is just me rambling.
