Alice Lynne "Lindy" Chamberlain-Creighton is a New Zealand-born Australian woman who was wrongly convicted of murdering her infant daughter in one of the country's most publicised and notorious trials.

She was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of her daughter Azaria in 1982. After the discovery of new evidence in 1986, Chamberlain was released from prison. She and her husband Michael were pardoned, and their convictions were squashed in 1988.

In 1992, the Australian government paid Chamberlain $1.3 million in compensation and a 2012 coroner's inquest confirmed that Azaria had died "as a result of being attacked and taken by a dingo". ...more
