Ashley Wells loves to share the story that God is writing in her life. She started writing on her first blog in 2008 and since that time writes as a way to process life and look back finding ways that the Lord was faithful and active in her life. Ashley also founded Together in the Trenches, a ministry for foster and adoptive moms.

Ashley has been happily married to her husband Michael for over 18 years. They live in Louisville, KY and are the proud parents to four children, blessed by the gift of adoption!

“While we wait for the things of this world, we are ultimately waiting for Christ’s return. Each season of waiting can remind us all the more that we are ultimately waiting for Him, each and every day.”
Ashley Wells, Everyone's Waiting for Something: searching for meaning when life's on hold

“Yes, I see why we endured infertility and a lengthy adoption process now, but I don’t know all the reasons for all the struggles and waiting in my life. That is part of having faith this side of Heaven. ”
Ashley Wells, Everyone's Waiting for Something: searching for meaning when life's on hold

“To find true and lasting contentment, we must seek God. We must see Him blessing us. We must realize that His will is good for us and trust Him, even in the waiting. Then, go beyond that and look for the good and perfect gifts that He is giving us right now, in this season.”

“If we give up easily on a project that we believe will honor the Lord, we’re not being faithful. We’re being lazy, and we’re actually being selfish. We’re not allowing others to benefit from the creative gifts that God has given us. God expects us to be faithful.”
Stephen Altrogge, Create: Stop Making Excuses and Start Making Stuff

“To find true and lasting contentment, we must seek God. We must see Him blessing us. We must realize that His will is good for us and trust Him, even in the waiting. Then, go beyond that and look for the good and perfect gifts that He is giving us right now, in this season.”
Ashley Wells, Everyone's Waiting for Something: searching for meaning when life's on hold

“We have to deal with fear because it is possible that it will make us miss the best parts of life.”
Jennie Allen, Restless: Because You Were Made for More

“There is an art to living that is far above the base human instinct of survival. I want to live beautifully.”
Jennie Allen, Restless: Because You Were Made for More

“true community is the kind that meets me where I am, comes and sees my mess of a house and me wearing my pajamas at three in the afternoon and sporting my five day old dirty hair.”
