That tension showed up not just personally, but in how we engage with a world that often feels divided and driven by fear.

Sacred Rebel: Fierce Love in a Fearful World grew out of years of working in interfaith spaces and watching how fear shapes both our inner lives and our public conversations. I wanted to explore what it means to find your voice—not just for personal freedom, but as an act of love.

The book is really an invitation to live with courage, to listen more deeply, and to practice a kind of love that isn’t passive, but grounded and transformative.(less)

Mary Hi, Jerry! I love Marcus Borg. He was at CTS last Fall, and he inspired me to reconnect with CTS after years of estrangement from the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). What an amazing scholar and teacher. We went to hear him at St. Luke's United Methodist where the liturgy is still embedded in sexist language.

How long, O Lord?
