Eilir L. Rhys is a queer Welsh author from Ynys Môn whose work combines mystery, suspense and queer romance against the backdrop of North Wales. Having lived with OCD for many years, they draw on their own experience of the condition and have found that writing plays an important part in improving their mental health.

Their debut novel, Tŷ Newydd Mysteries: The Disappearing Trick, introduces readers to David Stevenson and Siôn Watkins in a character-driven locked-room mystery set in the gothic Tŷ Newydd mansion on the North Wales coast.

When not writing, Eilir enjoys hiking, weight training and exploring the landscapes and folklore of Wales that inspire their fiction.
