How is it we are driven to hurt each other with such savage bitterness? We justify the insanity that betrays blood and denies the small, sweet wonders, banquet to the heart, that connects us. How can we provoke people to look beyond the cultural truths that separate and see the better truth, the one that honor our differences? All my life I’ve searched for stories that reveal and accent the human dimension.That we are seduced by our own capacity to believe is evidence both of our capacity to greatness and/or baseness. Which belief compliments one and denies the other? Only in our humanity do we glimpse the divine. I am convinced that the best medium for illuminating what human means is in story.
