Debut novel published

I've had a fascinating journey in writing my first book Just Another Tuesday in Manhattan

a journey of discovery

I only started writing after I dropped in on a Writers Group in nearby Chester (UK), to see if I could develop my marketing writing skills. But I got the bug of creating scenarios from prompts and writing took off.

This developed into ideas for short stories - one of which was featured in the Northwich Literature festival, here in Cheshire. That prompted me to another idea for a short story - though the theme and the characters just grew on me. At 54,000 words that made a novella I was told.

A few friends read my early draft and offered thoughts and pointers to improve it. So I published on Amazon for Kindle, then paperback and hardback; and the same for IngramSpark.

I've had a few reviews already and given that it's only been live for a few weeks, I feel really heartened that folks are liking what I've written. It also apeared as Readers Choice in the recent Open Book Awards.

I've also reached out to bookshops in my area, and have a few wanting to stock it - with one even offering me a Signing session!

I'd love to get your thoughts on my stories and how I'm presenting them on Amazon. I'm new to all this, so if you can leave a comment, then great, or send me a message.
