Dr Francesca Saggini is Professor in English Literature at the Università degli Studi della Tuscia (Viterbo), Italy.
Francesca is the author of, among others, The Gothic Novel and the Stage. Romantic Appropriations (2015, Honourable mention at the ESSE Book Awards), Backstage in the Novel: Frances Burney and the Theater Arts (2012, Walken Cowen Memorial Prize for an outstanding work in eighteenth-century studies). In 2019, she completed a Visiting Research Fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities at the University of Edinburgh.
Francesca will undertake a two-year Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Fellowship at the University of Edinburgh from July 2021.
