Emilia Young, an octogenarian, resides in the beautiful country suburb in Down Under. Born just after world war II, she had personally witnessed the torment suffered by the ordinary people in all walks of life; the aftermath of wars and discord
witnessed has led her to believe in the fragility of earthly life..
Although she has personally encountered failures, heartaches and disappointments, she has found healing, confidence in living through her faith and trust in the Living God.

Emilia is a lifetime Founding Laureate Member in the International Society of Poets. She was conferred Poet Fellow by Noble House Publication and contributed to Poetry Anthologies published by The International Library of Poets in the Patterns of life series, Letters From The Soul series; Poetry Anthology of Poets for Integrity publication : A Heart Of Fire, A World of Ice.

Emilia had been Featured Poet in The International Who's Who In Poetry publications, and Best 33 Poets Awards in The International Library of Poetry and Sound of Poetry recording.
She had participated in the International Society Of Poets Convention and Symposium held in Washington D.C., Florida, Hollywood and Philadelphia, gaining outstanding awards for Poetry contributions.
Further afield, she had also participated in the Yeatsian Poets' Summer School and Workshop in Sligo, Ireland, in celebrating W.B. Yeats' contributions to Irish literary renaissance.

Being a keen photographer, an artist in fine arts and graphic design, Emilia often illustrates her writing with her original art work employing various media such as oil, acrylic, gouache, cray pas, pen and ink and photography.
Her journey in writing had also enabled her to contribute poetry and prose to many poetry sites as well as presenting poetry recitals for Church calendar events, monthly Newsletters and Care Christian Fellowship in Australia.

Her recent Book JOURNEYING With GOD released in June 2021 illustrates vividly her faith in the Living God; in which she uses a metaphorical style depicted with easily read poetry to provide her vivid sojourn with God and the joy derived owing to God's undeniable profound grace.


Dear One, Where Have You Been, published in 2006 illustrates Emilia's journeys to quaint places with fantastic insights into unnoticed landscapes; of culture and topical interests in the most unexpected corners where she had personally trekked and explored.


Sunrise, Sunset O'er Mexico & Dakota published in 2008 holds the Author's visual collections of sights and sounds and flavour experienced via poetry renditions, illustrating the enchantment in Guanajuato, San Miguel De Allende, Xochimilco; and reflected also with Spanish translation.

Nacida después de la segunda guerra mundial, es testigo del dolor sufrido por las personas del pueblo en todos los caminos de la vida: es testigo de las secuelas de la guerra y su discordia que le han permitido creer en la fragilidad de su temprana vida.
