Jody Calkins grew up in the Minnesotan woods and now lives in rural Virginia with her family. She has a degree in classical studies and literature, loves studying languages, and writes young adult speculative fiction.

I'll ask myself questions like, "what happens next?" or "what other obstacles or conflicts do my characters face?" If that doesn't work, I'll switch to another writing project to allow time for my muse to work through details of the first story. I don't allow much time. A few days at most.
