Today, I am proud to say that my debut novel, Hostage to Parents, is out in the world.

This is not just a story about parents and children. It’s about the hidden trauma of control, the longing for free Read more of this blog post »

Natalie Deliss When I first sat down to write, I didn’t imagine my words would turn into a book. I simply wanted to capture the silence, the pain, and the invisible chains that so many children carry into adulthood.

Today, I am proud to say that my debut novel, Hostage to Parents, is out in the world.

This is not just a story about parents and children. It’s about the hidden trauma of control, the longing for freedom, and the courage it takes to find your own voice. The book is a psychological drama — intimate, raw, and deeply personal.

For over 20 years, I’ve been fascinated by psychology and the way family dynamics shape us. Writing this book was both a painful and liberating process. Through my characters, I explored the difficult truths that many of us carry but rarely speak aloud.

If you’ve ever felt trapped in someone else’s expectations… if you’ve ever wondered how to break free and finally live your own life… this book is for you.

I invite you to read Hostage to Parents — and I hope its story resonates with you the way it still resonates with me.
