Canadian author Sarah Kelly never planned to write books—Karl made her do it. One minute she was crafting corporate emails, the next, a curious marsupial had nudged her toward something more meaningful.

Now she tells stories that celebrate empathy, acceptance, and the everyday heroes among us. When she's not writing, she's sharing tea with woodland guests at her home in Nova Scotia or cheering on parents doing the impossible. This is her debut—but according to Karl, it's only the beginning.

Listening to Your Own Pouch

There have been sooooooo many times in my life where I’ve waited for a sign that I’m doing things “right.”

A nod, a comment, a gold star.

That little breath-holding moment where I wonder if someone out there will “approve.”
