Through loss & adversity, Storm decides to leave the comfort of her magical woodland home and search for survivors of a nuclear disaster.

Prologue

Tucked up warm beneath her toadstool bed, the small fairy slept, dreaming of better days — of the laughter of her lost clan, and the gentle arms of her mother. 
Beyond the magic dome, destruction raged. A poisoned wasteland stretched in every direction, heavy snow falling through a yellow, toxic mist.

Storm, teenage fairy of the Waters Clan, shivered as her dream replayed the moment everything changed. She saw herself running toward the dome, her mother right behind her. The human world shook apart as the shockwave rolled across the land. Her mother pushed her through the barrier, sealing Storm safely inside — while she remained outside.
