I am a farmer’s son.

That means that I was raised to value hard work and the results of such dedication.

It also means that I recognize the power of connectedness and community. I understand that the small seeds planted today will grow into the harvest that sustains us in the future.

My professional experience includes work at large firms such as Deloitte, IBM, and BMC Software as well as entrepreneurial organizations such as VTEL and QuickArrow. Currently I’m Vice President of Marketing at Corepoint Health.

The Uncomfortable Truths about Generational Culture

The IBM Institute for Business Value conducted a multigenerational study and issued a report entitled “Myths, Exaggerations, and Uncomfortable Truths: The Real Story behind Millennials in the Workplace.” This is a well-done, insightful report, highlighting a key fact – there is a thin difference between generations in what we want from leaders and the organizational culture in which we work.
