S.R. Wren writes adult romantasy: feral human-beast bonds,
dangerous courts, and on-page, consent-forward intimacy that costs
the characters something. Empire of Claw & Ember is the first of
two planned series in this world. Influences include Tolkien,
Marion Zimmer Bradley, Anne McCaffrey, Jennifer Armentrout, and
R.A. Salvatore. Wren writes between school pickups, three kids,
and an overconfident golden retriever who believes he supervises
the work. Years of travel shape the lived-in worlds these books
are built in.
