Amanda Wais writes in hopes of helping to make the world a kinder, more understanding place.

In her memoir, she depicts herself not only as someone who is struggling with outside factors, but shows the turmoil within herself. Though admitting her faults was vulnerable, she believes that, in doing so, she can show others that they are not alone.

She is currently writing a literary fiction series called In the Dirt. This way she can create characters to express what she and others are going through in hopes of shedding light on dark places and showing that we are not alone.
