I have worked in public safety since 2002 in the specialty fields of 911 dispatch, EMS, and fire. I have always wanted to write a book after I took a creative writing class in college. My first book series deals with PTSD and moral injury in public safety providers. It is centered around a fictional fire crew and highlights, resiliency, prevention, relationship issues, coping methods, and the importance of friends and families to not just survive, but thrive in the public safety discipline.
