India Trotter is a multi-genre indie author, storyteller, and unapologetic voice for women who feel deeply but still show up anyway.
She writes for the ones who’ve survived on resilience, prayed under their breath between emails, and learned to rebuild in silence long before anyone noticed they were breaking.

Her stories explore the layered realities of Black womanhood, identity, faith, grief, love, trauma, and the quiet cost of always being “the strong one.” Whether through fiction, affirmations, or prayerbooks, India blends raw truth, holy side-eye, and humor that feels like a friend telling you the truth in a car at midnight.

Her mission is simple: to remind women that survival isn’t their identity—wholeness is.

Don’t obsess over sounding perfect—obsess over sounding honest. The drafts you cringe at today are the pages that will eventually teach you your voice. And please don’t edit the soul out of your story just to make it palatable. Someone out there needs your truth written exactly the way you felt it.

Write messy. Edit with intention. Publish with courage. Repeat.

When Strength Becomes Survival — And Survival Becomes Your Silence

Some women aren’t born strong — they’re rehearsed into strength.

Soul Morgan didn’t enter the world as a storm; she became one over time. Raised in the shadow of ambition, absence, and silent sacrifices, she learned early that tenderness could be dangerous and vulnerability could cost you stability. The lessons passed down to her weren’t always spoken — some were inherited through distance, silence Read more of this blog post »
