I am the daughter of an Air Force officer who was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross during the Cold War (for navigating a plane that was spying on Russian missile sites). My novel is loosely based on him, and it honors both him and my mother. I have the experience of being a "military brat" in my youth. I have held positions in which I participated in the writing of grants for a non-profit organization. I have traveled throughout the world mostly in Europe and Asia. I have the wisdom of age and the heart and soul to write a heartwarming book.

I wrote this book to honor my father and mother. My father was a gentle, brave and kind soul. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross during the Cold War for navigating planes that were on spy missions over Russian territory.
