The modern story I had written is finished and just waiting for a bit of editing. But before I get to that, I decided to take a break (I HATE editing) and work on THE HUNTED for a while. It is really starting to move along now. I am very happy with how the story is developing and very proud of the chapter I just finished. I cried when I wrote it. I hope my readers find it as moving as I did.

I am leaving the world of Victorian England for a few days while I work on another project. Though I love Gabriel and Isabelle, the subject matter in the next book THE HUNTED is very heavy and detailed, and for the moment I need a break. The story I am working on now is not new, but the form is. I am taking a screenplay that I wrote for a production company back in 2010 and turning it into a short story. I really like the plot and the characters, and since the company was unable to meet my terms for the project, I retain rights to the work and can do with it as I please. Though it may not be as involved as THE FORGOTTEN or its upcoming sequel, I think it is a good little read. It will be up on Kindle soon.

If you reside within the United Kingdom, you can now pre-order THE FORGOTTEN for Kindle! It should be available for other countries, including the USA within the next few days. I am not certain why Amazon did it this way but at least it is getting up on their site.

I began work on THE FORGOTTEN over 15 years ago, with what I assumed would be the final product hitting Amazon in May 2013 under the title of FALLEN. Not only did the name of the book cause some confusion due to another book by that same name, but after listening to feedback from readers and seeing the original printed format, I decided that it really wasn’t ready, and should not have been released. I pulled both print and eBook editions from Amazon so it could undergo some serious editing and reformatting, and now here it is—two years later—in its revised form and with its new name. I hope you enjoy reading THE FORGOTTEN, whether it is to see what changes have been made, or to experience the story for the first time.

During my absence my Twitter, Facebook, and email account was hacked into. After ages sitting on hold with Yahoo I was able to reclaim my email account and subsequently Twitter, but my original Facebook has become a lost caused. Much has happened since I was last preparing to re-release FALLEN, including the files to the final copy, and much of the original, being destroyed. So I took some time off (okay, I was completely depressed after that happened) and finally got back to it. The cover is done, baring any last minute issues with printing, the book was pieced back together and edited, and both will be released on September 1st, under its new name THE FORGOTTEN.

Sometimes it is best to go back to the beginning... so I have.

After making what were admittedly MANY mistakes (though I like to think of it as on-the-job-training) with the launching of FALLEN, I felt that it was best to pull the book from online stores/platforms. Taking the advice of some of my readers, the book is being given what I hope to be it's last edit. This will make is it easier and more enjoyable for those who are not necessarily a fan of the older-styled Gothic fiction, but still allow it to have that same moody feel, with rich characters and words, for those like me who can't get enough of it.

It has been sometime now since the novel has been available for purchase and I hope to have it back up soon. You can keep track of the progress here on my blog as I work my way through, turning it into something that I hope can be enjoyed by all.
