A Glimpse into the Future of the United States of America
And The People Cried, "Give Us A King!"
Capitalism is defined as an economic system based on private ownership of capital. The government in other words owns everything, and the people live in government houses and work in government factories (Naomi Klein, “The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism”).
The government came to own property in much the same way they are stepping in to rescue businesses and homeowners today – by default. Could our society become capitalistic or even socialistic? Only time will tell.
The Guinness Book of World Records holds Edna Parker of Shelbyville, Indiana as the oldest person in the world. She was born on April 20, 1893 and is 115 years old. Edna has lived through 7 wars, 20 presidents, the electric light bulb, the depression, the first atomic bomb, desegregation, the first man on the moon, and Watergate.
Yet, she has never known a time of world peace: a time when greed was not the driving factor, and where the agape love of the Lord (unconditional love) prevailed over the entirety of the land. However, that time of world peace is soon to be realized in the not to distant future.

The book of Daniel tells us that a peace agreement will be signed (Daniel 7:21), but brokered by one that is yet to come, a Syrian Jew (Daniel 10:40).
While we chant “change,” “change,” and await the results of the elections in November, let’s note some of the rights and freedoms we’ve already lost – all without a fight.
Through the enactment of the USA PATRIOT Act and subsequent executive directives and regulations, essential rights and freedoms that were once guaranteed to all individuals have been substantially degraded.
Many Americans still do not realize the significance of what we have lost. The resulting expansion of government powers and the erosion of 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th and 14th Amendment rights and freedoms have forever transformed the United States.
