But I write just about every day, eve…moreI've experienced "writer's block." That doesn't mean I don't have dry spells when nothing I write seems to work. But I write just about every day, even if I don't want to. And you'd be surprised how often the stuff I write that seems awful at the time seems better when I re-read it the next day. The fact is, a whole lot of what I write gets tossed anyway. That's just the way this process works. So I write even when I don't feel like writing. With luck, the good stuff outweighs the not-so-good.(less)

So the best thing about being a writer is that I'm doing what I've always wanted to do. I've always been a story-teller, even if the stories were only in my head. And it's only recently that I began calling myself a "writer" (rather than just a wannabe). And maybe the "best thing" is something I haven't discovered yet!(less)
