MY REVIEW: 

Wow...what a ride! This couple goes through it all- lust, tension, hurt, lies, ...deceitful in laws.... there was barely any down time for these characters.
Coming from a not so great past Riley tries to move on with her life in Cape cod and start fresh. Guys are far from her mind, all she needs in her great friends, trusty dog and dependable job but all of that is put to the test when she meets Dustin. 
Settling down wasn't at the top of Dustin's list after his last girlfriend but setting his eyes of Riley for the first time makes him second guess his decision. 
Tension begins to rise between the young couple and before they know it they are wrapped up in new love but love isn't always easy. 
They both find fighting for what you want is the price you sometimes have to pay to keep those you love close. 
Dustin and Riley was extremely likable characters and the story flowed rather well, but I have to say Abby (the bestfriend) was by far my favorite. She's possibly the best book bestfriend. Abby isn't afraid to stick her nose where it doesn't belong and tell Dustin when to get his shit straight. 
This book sucked me right in and kept me devouring it until the end. Seidler has got a "knack" for love stories with enough angst, lust and drama to keep you coming back for more and back for more I shall !! Can't wait to read more for this uprising Author ! So keep em' coming Nickie and awesome work once again !

Excerpt:I’m not sure why I did it, but I got up two hours early, took an extra long shower, made sure my hair cooperated, and put on my good makeup. Okay, that’s a lie. I know exactly why I put so much effort into getting ready. Today, I am supposed to see Cohen. Not only am I supposed to see Cohen, but we also have plans to go out to dinner. Once again, I’m unsure about what he wants to discuss, but this time, I’m trying not to make any assumptions. Also on the agenda, I hope to not injure him or myself while we’re spending time together.

I walk into the office with my chin up and a big smile on my face. If he is already here, I want to look like I’ve been fine. I sure as hell don’t want him thinking that I’ve been moping around and pining away for him since last Friday morning. Making my way through the maze of cubicles toward my office, I see no sign of him. I let out a sigh as I step through my door. I place my workbag next to the desk, and I turn to glance at the clock.

Something moves in my peripheral vision. It scares me enough to make me jump back, causing me to fall into my large potted plant-tree-thing in the corner. To avoid hitting the ground, I sit cockeyed in the pot. My face is covered in limbs and large green leaves. Peeking through the human-eating plant, I can see Cohen sitting on the comfortable sofa with one hand held over his mouth. I don’t hear any sounds, but from the looks of it, he’s laughing. For some reason, my usual standoffish self takes a holiday. I launch myself up from my seat in the pot holding the plant, and I take brisk steps toward him.

“What are you doing in my office? Do you enjoy scaring the crap out of women and causing near catastrophes? Or is it just when you see me?”

His eyes grow wide, and those sexy wrinkles beside his eyes fade. Thank God. I don’t think I could hold on to my angry attitude if he kept smiling.

“Mr. Hargrove wanted me to tell you that we’ll be meeting in the conference room at eight thirty. I have to leave by the end of the week, so we need to get started on the rest of our project. I came to tell you, but you weren’t here yet, so I made myself comfortable. I’m sorry if I scared you.”

“Right. Okay. Well, you can go now. I’ll see you at the meeting,” I say, turning toward my desk.

With my shoulders back and head held high, I walk over to my desk chair and sit. Looking back at Cohen, I give him the meanest stare I can muster.

“See you there.” He stands to leave, but then hesitates as if he wants to say something else. His mouth is open, but then he bites down on his bottom lip, holding back.

“Did you need something else?”

“Actually, I was just going to tell you that unless you enjoy the feel of sitting on bark, you should probably find a mirror and wipe off your skirt.”

You have got to be kidding me!

He walks out of the office with the wrinkles by his eyes reappearing.

Teaser: Lyla eased her car to a stop a few blocks away from his house. A low-hanging branch scraped the roof. Lyla cringed at the sound, almost as if it were begging Lyla to return her foot to the gas pedal. But she did not. She parked, drew 10 ccs of succinylcholine into the syringe, and slithered out of the car into the wet night. She hurried to her destination in a half-crouch, trying to blend into the darkness of the asphalt.
She sneaked around the back of her father’s house through the shadows of the maple trees. They still clutched their leaves in denial of the approaching autumn. Every now and again, the rain would tear a leaf from its branch and the fluttering shadow would frighten Lyla. But instead of cursing the rain, she thanked it. It softened the ground, cushioned her footfalls, and tethered the neighbors to their couches. Few, if any, people would witness her arrival.
Searching for signs of life in his house and finding only the soft flickering of a TV in the living room, Lyla entered through the back door. Despite burying his wife hours earlier, her father had gone on a date that night. She’d overheard him bragging about it to a group of his colleagues at the funeral. Without squeaking, wet shoes, she tiptoed down to the basement, pausing to grab a candle from the emergency kit at the top of the stairs. The old house’s circuit breakers were notoriously fickle, so she switched off the main breaker, drowning the house in complete darkness. Lyla paused in the spot where she’d overheard her aunt’s suspicions only days earlier. With her ear toward the ceiling, she strained to hear any indication of her father’s stirring over the din of rain pelting the house. She heard nothing, so she removed the hypodermic needle from her over-sized bag, almost piercing herself as she fumbled for it.
“Here I come, Daddy,” she said in a singsong whisper, creeping back up the stairs.

Ok, I'm sure you can't tell me this cover hasn't been blowing up your Amazon recommendation scroll because It has mine. I'm ashamed to say this book is sitting on my computer right now- waiting for me to sink...my eyes?? ..into it ! This WILL be the very next book I pick up ! First off the cover is amazingly eye catching and I was drawn to it the second I saw it ...so 5 stars for that! And second it's one of our Amazing Author of the Day's work ...so double 5 stars !! Murphy decides to turn the tables around for us. I can't even begin to count how many books I've devoured with the male character the hardcore, non-feeling,bang every chick I see type. Well from looks of it we are getting to FINALLY see the Female be this character ! To say I'm thrilled about this is an understatement. Girls can be badasses too ya know!

As I was searching for a niche in everything else I was also writing stories about a girl searching for where she belongs and people my age going on wild adventures.
