Lance is a former Naval Officer who graduated from law school in 2001 and practiced in Arizona until he decided to focus entirely on writing, which he has always enjoyed. While in practice, he litigated many probate and trust matters as well as business and contract disputes.

After leaving his practice, he became fascinated with the intersection of technology and law, especially in the context of cryptocurrency regulation. Under a pseudonym on X/Twitter, he has spent the past few years analyzing legislation and litigation related to various crypto topics.
