Burnside Soleil grew up in a houseboat on the bayou but is now a pilgrim in New Orleans. His writing has been featured in American Poetry Review, Kenyon Review, New England Review, and elsewhere. His first book, called Berceuse Parish for short, will be published by TRP: The University Press of SHSU (2026).
