Damon Gonzalez is an actor, author, songwriter/producer based in Los Angeles. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, his memoir series Survival in New York: A Gay Man's Journey chronicles his experiences growing up in 1990s New York City — the club culture, the celebrity world, love, and loss. As a pop culture journalist, his personal essays have been published on Advocate.com, and his commentary has been quoted in the Los Angeles Times and publications worldwide.
