Time for a Dark Celebration! And some Gifts!

I love the Christmas holiday so much! It’s always been a special time for me and for my family. I realize not everyone celebrates Christmas, but I hope you’ll celebrate your holiday with me this winter season!

WalMart is releasing Dark Celebration with a limited edition cover. You can only get this special cover edition by going to WalMart to purchase it. And, it’s a limited run, so once these are gone, they are truly gone.

Dark Celebration has always been special to me. I receive more reader requests for another reunion book than just about any other request. This book was a gift to my readers, bringing together old friends like Mikhail, Gregori and many other Carpathians from years gone-by.

Over on Facebook we’re doing a giveaway where you have a chance at winning one of eight stockings stuffed with gifts from one of the older Carpathian characters! Mikhail, Raven, Jacques, Shea, Gregori, Savannah, Darius and Tempest each have a representative stocking that reflects that character and there are a lot of goodies in those stockings! I hope you’ll stop by Facebook by November 16th to enter!
Facebook Contest

And as an added bonus, you can enter for ALL the stockings! So lots of chances to win! And the books are signed!

You can read the first chapter of Dark Celebration here-

Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!

I absolutely love Christmas. For me, this holiday has always felt magical. I love looking at my grandchildren’s faces when they come and see the decorations are up. I love that wonder that I get to share through them as they look at the Christmas tree. I love that my family is so giving and thoughtful of others during this holiday and I’m proud of them for the love they have for each other and for people they try to help either families they know don’t have much and they get them something, or perhaps they draw a name off the “giving tree” at one of the stores.
It’s been a challenging year, but together, we’ve worked hard and I’m proud of that work. I had 5 new releases this year and 6 re-issues. There will be even more in 2018. We’ve done Facebook Live events, blogging on GoodReads, giveaways, games and lots of fun throughout the year.
Next year I have 5 NEW books! Judgment Road is out January 23rd and is the first book in my new Torpedo Ink series, which I’m so excited about. Covert Game, Shadow Keeper, Dark Sentinel and Leopard’s Run will all be out next year.
I look forward to the New Year and wish you all a happy holiday and a very wonderful New Year!

Why I Want A Torpedo Ink Christmas

description

Living a life of seclusion, abuse and death I always imagined the survivors that would eventually escape and become Torpedo Ink wouldn’t know much about Christmas. Perhaps they’d learn about it if it were associated with an assassination they were assigned, or hear about it in some secondary way, but they’d not actually experience it. Even so, Christmas in Russia isn’t the same as Christmas in America. There are different traditions and it’s even celebrated on a different day since Russia uses a Julian calendar. Christmas in Russia is celebrated in January as a rule. Also, it’s the New Year that is the bigger celebration in Russia.

Even when they went undercover for several years to bring down The Swords they lived an outlaw life full of danger and subterfuge. They would be aware of traditional practices of the holiday, but more as observers and outsiders.

Knowing about something and how it works isn’t the same as experiencing it for yourself, so regardless of how many Christmases the members of Torpedo Ink observed, it would be their first year in Caspar, CA. that they would actually participate in Christmas as a family. And of course, it would be Blythe who would insist they be active in all aspects of the celebration.
There’s something about Christmas, about holidays that bring family and friends together, that feels magical. Like love. It can slip through the toughest exterior and shine light into the hearts of those who are courageous enough to have hope. No matter how small the hope. Or how buried.

It’s not often that a writer gives a gift to her characters. I love this band of outlaws that look to care for one another and mete out justice to those who would harm the weak or innocent. One day I hope to give them all a Happily Ever After. For now, I’ll give them Christmas.
A Torpedo Christmas cominglater today on my Goodreads Blog and website. The initial story will be here on Goodreads and a slightly longer story will appear on my website later. I'll include links at the end of the story in the later blog.

It’s a Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

For those who celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you had a wonderful time filled with laughter, love and great food. I spent mine, as I always do, with my family. It was a crazy week just making that happen and finally we decided to go to my daughter’s house in another town since she had room, power and time to cook. It was our first time to have Thanksgiving at Billie Jo’s and it was an utter delight. Everything was inviting, delicious and filled with love.

Once it was all over and we got back home my mind went to thoughts of Christmas. I love Christmas, as many of you know. We’re just now putting up the tree, but I’ve been buying presents for months. The hard part? Not giving the presents away early because I’m so excited about them! LOL

I’ve decided to downsize a bit this year, so we’ll have two trees. We have one in the living room where the gifts will be placed and then one in the kitchen which I do for my grandchildren. They love the kitchen tree. The big one in the living room is filled with years and years of ornaments, some I bought, some gifted and some made. We call it the “I Spy” tree and have so much fun finding the various ornaments once they’re all up and placed.

It's also the time of year I send books to the soldiers who will be deployed over the holiday. I’ve worked with the same group that sends out to the soldiers each year for more than a decade now. Soldiers are there for us, defending us and our way of life and they won’t be with their families because they’re protecting mine, so they have a very special place in my heart.

description

It's a time of giving and appreciation and I never lose sight of that. It’s a time to reach out to old friends and remind them you love them. It’s time to hug the kids, pet the dogs and eat the goodies. Okay, well, it’s ALWAYS time for that, but you know what I mean. LOL
I would love to know about YOUR holiday traditions. Even if it isn’t Christmas. What do you celebrate? How do you celebrate?

Do you wait until after Thanksgiving to put up a tree? The day after? Do you love holiday music? Have specific ornaments that are meaningful? Special dishes that you cook? A special memory?

Merry Christmas! Good Cheer to All!

description

I love the holidays and most people know that about me. My great love is my family and the holidays bring us all together in this shared spirit of Christmas. My family loves to laugh so there’s always antics and jokes. Happiness is ageless, timeless and boundless and I know I am truly blessed to be surrounded by my family and friends this season.

I wish the same joy and love to all of you. Regardless of what you celebrate, we can all celebrate those things together.
All the best,

Christine Feehan

Dark Joy, Black Friday and The 12 Days of Christmas

description
I wanted to update everyone as we head into the holidays and we all start to get busy.
I'm excited to share that the Dark Joy book trailer was completed and I've approved it to go into my online community. It will go out publically later this month or early in December.
The music in the Dark Joy trailer is new, unique and exclusive. I wanted something to help get across the idea that this book is special and has a lot of old favorites coming back to join in the fight.
You'll also get some updated on pregnancies and babies and other characters readers have been asking about.
For those of you interested in getting a signed, personalized copy of Dark Joy you can find the information HERE.

Feehan and Co. will have their mystery bags starting Black Friday. And then they will be offering a discount all day on Cyber Monday. I have new 3D dragons, some kittens, signed books and lots of new things. I know they plan on doing an e-blast to those who have signed up for their newsletter and an announcement on their Facebook Page

I'll soon be announcing when we'll start our annual 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS event. We'll choose 12 people who comment on our social post, once it's up, and the winners will get some amazing gifts! Check on Facebook to find out the details. It should go up after Thanksgiving I would think.

I'm writing and printing dragons. I can't wait for the Thanksgiving holiday when I can spend quality time with my family.
What are you doing for the holiday? Or for the rest of the year for that matter.
