Scientific collaborator, and since 1979 head of the folklore sector of the language and literature. of the SS of the MSSR. Doctor of Philosophy. (1965). The stories collected by B. were translated into Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Georgian, Lithuanian, Bulgarian, German, French, English, Japanese.
