New book, new series released today!

Hi readers!

It has been a minute, long enough for me to come up with a new series beginning with the novel "Untruths about the Untimely Death of Anne Brontë." Don't let the "death" fool you. It is, like the rest of my work, a warm-hearted romance.

Unlike my other works, however, instead of being historical fiction set in the 1990s, my new book is set in the early Victorian era. With intense but clean romance, this novel is a fictionalized, speculative imagining of a love story for novelist Anne Brontë, author of "Agnes Grey" and "The Tenant of Wildfell Hall," little sister to Emily, who wrote "Wuthering Heights" and to Charlotte, the author of "Jane Eyre." Also like her sisters, Anne died young, leaving no children and (except in the case of Charlotte) no husband.

Speculating on love stories for literary ladies is not new (think of the film "Becoming Jane") and here is my attempt at it. Through my local university, I did extensive research on the key events, places, and people of Anne's real life. I also studied her novels and worked to make the voice of the Anne of my novel close to the voice of Helen Huntingdon, the "Tenant of Wildfell Hall" herself. Likewise, the voice of my book Anne's romantic interest, a fictional character named Ambrose Hughes, is based on "Wildfell"'s romantic lead, Gilbert Markham.

If you love any of the Brontë sisters' work, give this one a try. Emily, Charlotte, and their brother Branwell all feature as characters.

Enjoy!
