Cupcakes and Batman (Issue #3)
O.K. obviously the two things aren't going to occur in the same breath (I'm going to give Gotham the cupcakes they need, not the ones they deserve, with pink icing and little sugar bears on top!)but both do feature in this week's issue so without further ado I shall get on with the news!
The News!
This week I have made a submission of Seeker of the Silver Arms to Etopia Press, a publisher which seems keen on accepting unsolicited submissions and also on the growing ebook market. Yet it is also keen to maintain a certain amount of print copies. Anyway, that is awesome and I hope to hear from them in about four weeks' time, though apparently I should not harry them until eight weeks. With Christmas coming up this seems a more likely deadline lol ! Anyway, I have big hopes for this one so I'm really keeping my fingers crossed.

There are many spoofs of Batman available on the internet in varying degrees of originality and quality but surely this one below must the silliest, most reckless and simply the most utterly insane parody ever! Onison litterally throws himself into the role and, well, I don't want to say any more for risk of spoiling it. Enjoy!

Cool stuff 8)!
Cool stuff this week is in the nature of a cool company - Chocolate Hotel! This company is super awesome, not only are their chocolates pretty much the best I have ever tasted but they also grow their own cocoa and engauging in ethical trade with the farmers. In addition, they have an desire to produce super quality chocolates, e.g. reducing the sugar. One can really taste it in the end product and I am such a fan that I had to give them a shout out here! Really, I go in there and it is like a wonderland, I feel so happy and, of course, desirous to buy chocolate. Anyway, I see that they have opened a few stores outside the U.K., including one in New York and they also do online purchase, so if anybody reading this feels tempted have a look at the website please go ahead, it's free food porn if nothing else lol !

My Reading!
So, I went Christmas shopping this week and predictably when let loose in shops I bought a book which had nothing to do with my original intensions. Hmph. But never mind because I know have an awesome new book to add to my collection - Cupcakes From The Primrose Bakery!
I love recipe books, especially baking books, and I just could not resist it, especially as it was on special offer!
It is a beautiful book (I gave it four stars), a real treat to look through with its lavish photographs and great sense of fun, and it contains a wide variety of cupcake and icing recipes. It also contains a handful of basic full sized cake recipes. If I were to have one minor complaint it would be that, lovelly as the recipes are, they tend to be fairly basic and traditional - there is not much in terms of wild and eccentric. Also, perhaps a small section on basic home made decorations would have added a little something extra. Nevetheless, it is a lovelly book and the recipes which are contained within look wonderful so I very much look forwards to using it in the future!
