I'm an artist in many mediums - film, art, books, music - I enjoy it all and have thankfully realized that I don't have to pick one.

Lately I write fiction, as evidenced by my first book, The Cowboy Singer, a romance novel about a pregnant gal who falls in love with a country singer in Austin. It's available on e-book through moi, or Amazon (e-book & paperback) if you're already ordering a blender. I'm busy writing my second book, an opposite sides of the tracks romance about a Beverly Hills foodie who falls for an east side tough guy.

I travelled around the world with Goldirocks and my three hot producer gals - to Montreal, Cairo (yes we rode on a camel) and Brazil (yes we drank caipirinhas). In 2005 I moved to Los Angeles from Toronto and started writing screenplays like my life depended on it (oh wait, my life did depend on it) and I now have several brilliant scripts, but no will to turn my life upside down to make another feature - damn it's a slog, people. I am in perennial post-production on a short film called Hollywood Heights with my pal, star and producer Tara Samuel.

I'm planning to publish a children's book, which I think all writer's who have kids do at one point or another. It's awesome and adorable and it's called Herkus Finds A Home, the story of a giant lovable dog who doesn't understand why he's not getting adopted from the rescue. I think I've found a new illustrator - stay tuned.

I sing and play guitar and drums - you can read about my former bands on the other pages which I will hopefully update with MP3s at some point. I'm perpetually honored to collaborate with my husband Richard Duguay and all his fan-fucking-tastic work, mostly singing back-up and duets. We also recorded a song that I wrote about the Occupy movement called We're the 99. We have a four-year-old daughter Violet who likes to test our nerves all day every day in various ways, like all perfect geniuses, and a giant dog who is happy he was adopted from the rescue.
