Just wanted to provide an update on the release of The Almosts! It will be available on Amazon (for Kindle and the free Kindle App) beginning on Sunday, January 19! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it :)

WHAT’S ON PAGE 25??

The theme of the Chick Lit Author Blog Hop is “What’s Happening on Page 25??” So, here goes…

In Leaving Green Island, Brecken Pereira is a 26-year-old lawyer whose life is on the upswing. She landed a prestigious, if somewhat miserable, job at a big corporate law firm, she lives in Chicago with her two closest friends, and she’s found her ideal match in her boyfriend, Will. However, shortly before page 25, Brecken learns that her long-lost first love, Reed Whalen, was recently spotted in Chicago. Reed was dramatically cut out of Brecken’s life years earlier, and she hasn’t heard a word from him since she was a freshman in college. The knowledge that he has finally resurfaced in the very city where she lives is both intriguing and terrifying to Brecken.

On page 25, Brecken is doing her best to focus on work rather than allowing her mind to wander to her lingering questions about Reed. As much as she tries to convince herself that Reed’s appearance in Chicago is irrelevant to her life, she has trouble forcing thoughts of him out of her mind, and, more importantly, out of her heart. As it soon turns out, she won’t be able to keep him on the back burner for long…

At this point in the story, readers know very little of the backstory between Brecken and Reed. They have learned that Reed was Brecken’s first love who suddenly disappeared from her life, but the rest of their history unfolds throughout the book.
