Lindy Spencer Writer's block kicks my butt sometimes, and when it does, I tend to throw a mental temper tantrum and then give my brain time on a subconscious level …moreWriter's block kicks my butt sometimes, and when it does, I tend to throw a mental temper tantrum and then give my brain time on a subconscious level to work out whatever the problem is that's causing the block while I do other things. Usually getting the camera out and taking some pics lets my creativity flow in other ways, or riding the motorcycle also has a success rate in blowing out the cobwebs and shaking loose some ideas on getting around the writer's block. If neither of these two work, turning up the music and cleaning the house also works, though sometimes it takes days or weeks before the wall comes down. I prefer not to force it. Nothing good ever comes from that.(less)
