Come over to the 131 Preview Review!

The 131 Preview Review is pleased to present something new from Author Solease M. Barner. If you enjoyed the pulse pumping action in Secrets Of The Ghosts: The Sleeper then you are in fro a treat! DRAKEN is something rather different but your pulse is going to race just the same.

(Perhaps quiver is the better word)

This first installment of The Draglen Brothers Series focuses on Draken the eldest son to a Royal Dragon Shifter family. He is Heir tot he throne and the head of the Corporations the Draglen family oversees here on earth.

They (all of the brothers to which there are nine) are all tall, dark and dangerously handsome. Each containing within them their beast, the dragon which is their other self. Their truer form. Although mankind has dismissed the dragon as myth and child's fancy anyone who looks into their unearthly eyes for too long feels their predatory nature.

Over all this is fast paced, and erotically charged, demanding that you turn the pages, the relationships between the brothers and Cess and her won twin, lead TO SOME TRULY GUT WRENCHING MOMENTS as well. Give it a look and see for yourself!

REad more and see the interview here at the 131 Preview Review!! http://131previewreview.blogspot.com/...

Erotic Excellencce.. Partial Review Of ARRANGED By Arlene Valle

THE 131 PREVIEW REVIEW PRESENTS

ARRANGED From Arlene Valle

Maybe she had what every woman wanted. Maybe she had the libido most women wished they’d had sometime during their life. Rich men can be good for you. Is it wrong to love more than one man at the same time? Three men, three different age groups. Each love affair for different reasons. ~Arlene Valle

(Nice Tag line Huh?)
It occurred to me reading this that I haven't really done much Erotica, strange as I tend to write it myself. Anyhoo! I picked up ARRANGED and low and behold finished it in 2 days!...

(Yeah yeah, broke m' rule... Again... It's my blog and I'll read what I want to...)
Arranged is an excellent example of what Erotic Fiction should be. It is by far not your average Saturday night pump & dump under the bleachers. No... It's a story with beautiful settings, that transport you from California and Texas to Isla Margarita in the Caribbean. The tale tells of the exploits of one Samantha (Sam) Beck as she fights to rid herself of her Nymphomania.

(Yeah Boys... I said Nymphomania)
She is in a relationship with Reid Harris, a handsome, debonair man, who adores her and understands that with his age (early 50's) comes limitations as to Sam's condition. So he helps in screening to find her someone who can fuck her like he can't. Did I mention he's filthy rich?

(I know #firstworldproblems at their finest... Right?)
Sam loves Reid, but she can't wrap her head around monogamy. Especially after she wraps her long legs around a NYC Lawyer, Reid introduces her to for such occasions. So now we meet Max, Reid's choice for Sam. He's hesitant only for so long as it takes our girl's dress to hit the carpet.

(Men... Soo Easy)
Sam is tall, blonde and has a rockin' body, who could say no? He proceeds to plow her in front of Reid in their suite, and everyone seems to enjoy themselves. Especially Sam. Reid, not the idiot you might think decides Max may prove useful, so he encourages their ravishing attractions. The bigger problem however seems to be max and Sam's growing obsession for each other. Max is obvious in Palm Springs and then practically panting on the Isla Margarita, where the nights aren't the only reason people wind up needing a shower...

Destiny Repeats Twice, is a wild ride!

From the moment you crack open one of Eri Nelson's books you find you're going to be in for quite the ride.

See she comes with a disclaimer for which she is most proud. A warning to the reader that her way of word weaving borders on
the strange and peculiar  After the first few unorthodox pages the rhythm makes sense. It's like going from Stan Lee to Charlotte Bronte
and back again.
Her words envelop you and the next thing you know you are wrapped up in the spirals she sends her characters down.
Little known fact,  Destiny Repeats Twice (Isabella while published after the DHC Series Introductory Novel, The Call From Within,
was actually written first.  While the DHC Series has been fast paced, lustful and full of carnage, Destiny Repeats Twice
dares to wedge it's self into the world of Ancient Greek Mythology, and wins. The Prologue sets us up for a tale steeped in pain,
magick, flesh and bone. A priestess murdered, a woman in the pangs of birth torn asunder. A very special baby left defenseless...
In other words You Gotta Read this!

A return to The 131 Preview Review

I'm back and yes I did do the writing I was hoping to do, and yes, I'm getting my health back under control. Got some new medications that are doing wonders to the lengths that I could have only hoped for. So YEAH, and Yay on many fronts, and fonts... I needed this hiatus to sort it all out.
So now I've got A New Novella slated for publication in October, and two more in the coming year. Probably March and August '14. I made good use of my time off....

In the Bad sector, because there needs to be balance in the Universe..... I had an upset with my tablet and lost the access that I had to works, so I am unable to do reviews for those people I had planned on Reviewing before my health crisis, which also means I don't remember who, either. SO I am OPEN FOR CONTENT!

Anyhow, the 131 isn't about me.... IT"S ABOUT YOU! About the READERS thirsting for new BOOKS, about the AUTHORS in Need of READERS!

There Have been some changes... You can see them all here ... But I wanted to point Two out specifically...Firstly I will be posting on the 15th and last of the month, ONLY. I can not keep up the once a week reads. But this is great news for you, as the Author. It mean that I will be able to give little promo pushes leading up to the week of your Review. Which will include snippet tweets #AmReading and your Cover (If you have one) Posted out on the blog.

3: I will not review YA, or younger. I simply can not relate to the younger sub-genera characters. Sorry, but at least I'm honest about it! I have a liking for paranormal, murder/mystery and Thrillers. I also enjoy comedic works and Literary Fiction. If you don't know what genera you are, so long a your protagonist is old enough to drink send me a query.

I came to realize that I don't want to muddle through a genera I know I don't like. Nuff said. Well not quite. There are many Reviewers out there who do YA, but few who will read ADULT CONTENT. I WILL, so THAT makes me STAND OUT. Which lets face it... I LIKE TO DO.. * Smiles wickedly*

So If you're a Writer, Read my Rules above and Contact me here.

If your a rabid reader of the Wee Hours... Subscribe to the blog. Follow me on FB, & Twitter ... Hell do THAT IF YOU"RE A WRITER TOO!!

Until the 15th,

Happy READING!!

The Hiatus and what it means for The 131 Preview Review...

The 131 Preview Review

On January 31, 2013 as my readers know I launched The 131 Preview Review. I read and review Fiction, for free. It was to be my venue to connect with other Indy Authors, a way to help them promote their work and tell people who they are, it was also a way to let readers hopefully find books that should be plucked from obscurity, including mine... Awakenings the Wrath Saga, written with Will Van Stone Jr[and In Dreams.

Here at the 131, Authors like Will,Eri, Solease Barner, Lynette Sofras and Tof Eklund, to name a varied few, have been able to express their views on writing, talk about their lives and I hope, had a wee bit of fun doing it. It has been a way to create strong and lasting connections where we have helped each other find readership and kinship with works and Authors, which I probably would have never found if the Authors hadn't found me through my website, where the sign up sheet is found. I have been very fortunate to find very few reads that I couldn't completely embrace.

But in my time doing the 131 my health took a turn in a bad way. My Bi-Polar went wacky, and other things had to take precedent, so I have embarked on a journey to regain myself. I pulled away from the blogs, Twitter... All social media, because it continued to create the "Squirrel Effect." Every time I was supposed to be writing I would check out something and it actually became just like the meme's. You know the ones about click here... e-mail this... share that... The next thing I know it would be 8 AM Monday and I hadn't slept since Friday Night, not to mention that I hadn't gotten a single word written in all those waking hours.

I will continue to be on Hiatus until mid to late August, when I return there will be changes, and hopefully a real schedule that I can post for the 131, something that I can keep up with that wont run me down. I am still taking query's and do not often say no. I am hoping that it stays something that we can all enjoy, and engage with. I have talked to many Authors/Bloggers and I find that we all suffer from a need to feel noticed, accepted, and encouragement seems to be the thing that all of us crave. If you like something, SAY something. We CRAVE COMMENTS! We Writers are a very delicate bunch, often what we write is raw, unbridled, deeply personal and when we release it to your reading eyes we twist up inside hoping and praying to which ever Gods and Entities we believe in that you will be honest, and kind. Two things that so often do not go hand in hand. We need that small modicum of recognition, we need that comment, even if it is just a simple smiley face at 130 AM.

If you're here, say something, please.

If you've enjoyed it, subscribe, follow, like and share. It is so easy to please us, and at the moment you do, you can succeed in the even easier task... To dissuade us from ending our efforts and hanging up the pen and paper. So often I have heard Writers say that they feel like they haven't accomplished anything... I think it's high time we proved them wrong... Don't you?

Happy Writing!

If you love us, Tweet us, we have our own Hastags!!

My 3 Favorite M’s Maniacal, Meticulous, Murderous: New 131 Preview Review

Evil In The Mirror
A murder mystery from Mitt Winstead Mitt Winstead

:A note to readers: Be advised this is a murder/mystery; there are strong elements of death, torture and carnage. If this is not your scene, do move on. But if like me you have a love for horror, then I would most certainly say this is right up your alley "with a side of Fava beans and a nice Chianti.”:

This is the conversation that brings us to today’s Preview Review...

Author Eri Nelson posted a link to The 131 Preview Review Via Facebook, explaining what I do.

Evil in the Mirror A Murder Mystery by Mitt Winstead

So here, we are, just a few days later, and I have finished the first 131 pages. So what did I think? I think I'm going to finish reading the novel later, that’s what I think. It is not the usual fanfare; it’s not a who-done-it, piece. You get that from the first bloody mess of bodies.

The story is jammed pack with images of Arizona in the Vietnam Era, when our boys were going off to war, and the Hippie Cult- *ahem* ure was at it’s peak. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll were all the rage, and in the midst of things like “free love” and Nuclear Armament, beneath the lights and opulent desert skies a string of brutal murders begins to unfold.

Enter Detective Jon Mull and his partner Detective Matt Wilson. Jon spends his time looking up from the bottom of a bottle of Jack Daniels, while Matt looks out for him. The pair finds themselves dropped into a gruesome dance that they can not bow out of. Amongst the deadly dealings the story unfolds through flash backs and forwards, from Jon’s life before the bottle and the decidedly maniacal, meticulous, and murderous, twins Curtis and Clarence. (My 3 favorite M’s) *Grin*

We find that the Identical Villains have left death and devastation from California to Arizona, since before the pair hit puberty. Thanks to the nurturing of a short-lived abusive father, a often neglectful drunken mother, and later, a just as drunken step-father. They are the model of the darkness that surrounds the far reaches of the most dastardly of deeds, and they revel in the chaos and screams their “Twin time” invokes.
Detective Jon, was once a happy man, married to a woman who longed to be his for the remainder of their lives. But the world has a way of twisting happiness into sorrow and when disease took Angie from him, he found that the bottle was his only solace.

The backward and forward flashes through the character’s lives transitions seamlessly, which I find refreshing, and I love linguistic flair. Which this book is packed full of, like fun similes such as these two gems:
"his eyes looked like two fried eggs in a bucket of piss"
and
"It was so quiet you could hear a pack rat fart."

Remarks like this helped to lift some of the darkness from the tale, allowing me to have a laugh, even if it was at the Hero’s expense.

Jon is convinced that the murders are all connected that his partners abandoned vehicle on a lone stretch of highway means that is he is not missing, but in fact very much dead.

While the entire state looks for Matt, Jon is tasked with breaking in a new partner and hell-bent on getting “these maniacs off the streets.”

Thrilling, gruesome, and at times rather heart wrenching, “Evil In The Mirror” has proven that there are still intelligent stories being told that can hit the target, and transport you to a time when the world was far more interesting.

I urge you, nay, I Challenge You, to pick up “Evil In The Mirror,” and tell me you aren't clenching your teeth, to keep from biting your nails!

Until we meet again, I thank you my readers of the Wee Hours, for joining me, here at The 131 Preview Review, and do come check out the Interview with the Author, Mitt Winstead. I have some great questions that I am sure you are dying to get answers to!

Cheers!
Happy Reading and Writing!

Review of Secrets of The Ghosts-- The Sleeper...... Awesomeness!

I had the great opportunity of sampling “Secrets of The Ghosts- The Sleeper” Secrets of the Ghosts The Sleeper by Solease M. Barner Book one of the Secrets of the Ghosts Trilogy. Brought to us by Author Solease M. Barner.

The first thing I will say is a word of caution, be ready for a world full of action, turmoil and internal struggle. And Food! Lot’s of food. It is our Heroine’s great relaxer, and if you read this woman’s menu on an empty stomach, you are sure to be starving and raiding the fridge by chapter five! I know I did!

So let us look at the story so far. We have Holiday Mary Jones-Towley. A wife, mother, and wedding planner with a secret that has been eating at her for many years. She is no ordinary upper-middle class house wife, not by any stretch of the imagination. Before settling in picturesque Novi, Michigan, she was witness to her parents brutal slaying, which put her into the hands of Ava, (Mother) the trainer for the ASG (Agency of Secret Ghosts) a hush, hush Government Organization that takes wayward kids, preferably and almost exclusively female, shapes, molds and desensitizes them in to the perfect assassins. They are no one, intangible, and once you are in their cross hairs soon to shall you be.

Now this was more than enough to pull any reader in. I mean who doesn’t love the secret agent motif. Let’s face it; there just aren’t enough women out there with a “License to Kill.”

By chapter three, aptly titled Changing sides, Holiday is faced with the knowledge that the woman Ava, who has been like a mother to her and her adoptive sisters, all part of the ASG as well, has set her sights on her two year old daughter, Evey, which unleashes Holiday’s protective streak, calling in her sisters to keep Ava’s calculating hands off of the child and away from the rest of her family, which has decided now is the time to drop in and say “Hello.”

As if the threatening crisis of her two worlds colliding were not stress enough, an ex-lover is thrown into the mix and an underlying threat of something called “The Sleeper,” has Holiday’s senses all a flutter. She must find away to balance the two worlds or risk endangering not only the lives of her husband and daughter, but that of her sisters and in-laws as well.

But even the most deeply buried secrets have a way of bubbling to the surface when the waters get high enough.

If you have a need for high intrigue, gut twisting psychological turmoil and a bit of fun at the expense of a good meal, then I highly recommend picking up, Secrets of the Ghosts The Sleeper by Solease M. Barner I know I was pleasantly surprised.

Cheers! And Happy Reading, and Writing!
