I started writing during a creative writing module at the University of East Anglia. The module did not go well in terms of marks, but my pieces made everyone laugh. They seemed to be crowd-pleasers if not literary gems.

My first novel, Vodka with Chocolate Chasers, is set on board the Trans-Siberian railway, with a bunch of characters sitting around comparing stories of travel. It's Chaucer on a train, basically, except not as good and in modern English. You can buy it on Amazon. This book had favourable reviews from the superb comedian Frank Skinner and from that excellent publication, The Daily Express.
