How Many Stars?
I enjoy commenting on books as I read them. I dislike assigning a rating. Am I alone?
Noticed my average rating is an awkward 4.x and thought "oh oh, I must look like an easy marker". It's true I rarely award anything less than a 3. I wouldn't finish a book I felt that cranky about! And 5 ought to be something special. So most of my ratings are 4's with a slice of 3s and a light sprinkling of 5s.
It vexes me that ratings can mean so much to a book. It inhibits me from using the whole range.
