I like to call myself an International citizen: I am Lebanese with a Canadian passport, was born in Saudi Arabia and lived in Riyadh, Toulouse (France), London (UK) and Abu Dhabi before immigrating to Canada for my Studies.
I graduated in 1991 from McGill University in Montreal Canada. I decided to come to the UAE because I loved it when I lived here for 2 years with my parent from 1986 to 1988. I have been in the UAE since 1993. I got married in Canada in 1993, and now have two daughters Maxine 14 and Yasmine 11.
Then I completed my Chartered Institute of Marketing professional degree in Dubai in 2006.

I have been an entrepreneur since 1996 and have built three companies so far: RED Design (corporate Identity and Branding), Café Céramique (Coffee shop/restaurant and Paint your own pottery business) and now Azur Spa (Beauty and Wellness Salon and Massage Center).
What motivates me the most is: creating brands that stand out with a unique approach and positioning. Also, what motivates me is to build a solid team and inspire my employees to achieve and go beyond their self-limiting beliefs. I strive on making their dreams happen and encourage them to learn and build a new vision for themselves. Although this is not an easy task all the time, due to their backgrounds it is often the most gratifying part of my job.
So building concepts, building brands and building teams out of very little are my biggest motivators and my biggest challenges at the same time.

I love creating concepts and brands not just companies, and my dream is to be known as a serial entrepreneur.
In 2002, I created Café Céramique and I turned it into a successful franchise and now we have 5 branches in the GCC. Café Céramique won two Best Family Restaurant Awards with Time Out in 2006 and 2007 and recently the Bahrain branch received this award. (For reviews please check http://cafe-ceramique.com)
When we first opened, we were immediately recognized as a leading company in innovation, creativity and stood out as an International Brand. My main approach is to be aggressive on the marketing and develop a strategy that is in tune with the market needs. When I first started building the concept, it was due to a gap that I considered fundamental in the UAE. There were very few opportunities for families to spend quality time together doing an activity that encourages involvement by both parents and children.
In 2007, after opening 3 branches in the UAE; completing the Franchising Manuals and setting up the mother company that will handle the Franchisees: Café Céramique International, I decided it was time for me to step down. My partners took over the operation and I took a couple of years of a well-deserved and highly appreciated break.
In 2010, I started Azur Spa, a beauty and wellness center that will also service clients in their own setting, Azur Spa on Wheelz. (www.azurspa.com) (www.facebook.com/azurspa)
In November 2010, I won the Most Innovative Woman Entrepreneur with the Women in Leadership Forum and Azur Spa was a finalist in the SME Stars of Business Award in the “Businesses to Watch” categories.
Furthermore, I was invited to the International Who’s Who Historical Society in 2011. This prestigious organization is notable for encompassing detailed biographies of entrepreneurial men and women that have broken the mold and have made their mark in history. This exclusive society has contact with thousands of successful people from over 160 countries across the globe.
Finally, I just finished writing my first e-book: Think like a woman, Act like an Entrepreneur. It will be published in November 2011. The subject of this book is about empowering women to break free from their limiting beliefs and start working towards their dreams.
