Héctor Williams tiene dos hijas adultas, dos hijas adultos y un nieto, que son el amor de su vida.
Héctor Williams estudió Psicología Clínica en la UASD, en la República Dominica, su país de origen, donde fue fundador del Centro Especializado de Psicología Aplicada (CEPSIA), en el cual fungió como director ejecutivo hasta que emigró a los Estados Unidos en 1989. Por medio de CEPSIA, impartió docenas de seminarios, talleres, conferencias, además de cursos de educación continua en INTEC y otras universidades.

En los Estados Unidos, Héctor Williams continuó sus estudios en varias universidades, y ha obtenido grados en Psicología, Maestría en Administración de Salud Mental, Administración de Servicios Sociales, Post-maestría en Consejería Familiar y Liderazgo de CUNY y de Cornell University.
Además, en los Estados Unidos, ha ejercido posiciones como consejero familiar, supervisor de consejeros y trabajadores sociales, director de programas de trabajos sociales y de salud mental y asesor de programas para la ciudad de Nueva York, educador de la salud para el Estado de Florida, entre otras.
