L.M. Chilcott is an independent author writing in the genres of teen fantasy and Young Adult literature. She is a self-published author and is aware of the errors within her literature. As there are errors even in professionaly edited manuscripts, it stands to reason that there will be a higher number of errors within a self-published novel.
L.M.Chilcott first started the Eloah Series when she was in the 8th grade (2000), writing it as a short story for a class assignment. Throughout high school she continued to develop the book and what she had first began as book one, is now book two in the series. The first book to the
series, Eloah's Amulet, was started in the summer of 2009 while she attended summer school as a new mother.

Her academic career truly began in 2005 when she graduated from Mariposa County High School and started at HSU as a Marine Biology major. As most people do, she switched majors to Zoology in which she stayed with until the end of 2011, when she finally realized that her talents did not mesh with the sciences but rather in creative writing. Though L.M. Chilcott does struggle with test anxiety and mild dysgraphia, when it comes to writing there is no obstacle in her way that she cannot overcome.
“I kept failing my major courses, and it came to a point where I couldn’t keep paying for classes that I could not pass. After looking through my notes, with story ideas scribbled in the margins or scenes written out in the back of the note book, I began to connect the dots. It wasn’t until we had a research writing assignment in a genetics class that had allowed for some writing creativity; did it all click. I had turned the assignment into a short story and received an ’A’ but that same day saw my current test grade which was an ‘F’. After that, I realized that my talents and passions were more in writing thea in science."
Her supportive husband, whom she married in October of 2011, has faith in her that she will continue to succeed in her writing career. She is due to graduate, after eight challenging years, from Humboldt State University in the spring of 2013 with a BA in English. ...more
