For me, writing fiction is like watching a film that nobody else has seen. Perhaps every writer is like that, or perhaps I'm lucky. When I write a story I am able to sit back and watch, then report what I see. It's like being a court stenographer who is allowed a little creativity.
When I think about writing the next piece it isn't a case of waiting for inspiration, but more a case of waiting for the right time to go to the movie theatre, without distraction or thinking I should be elsewhere. I don't know the story, but I am drawn to the theatre because I like the genre and the short blub intrigued me. I am also in love with the actress and nobody is kicking my seat.

Days 13 and 14

Having recounted the past I can get to snippets of the present. Day 13 was the man with the van. He didn't speak English and I don't speak Slovenian but I can point in a variety of European languages and he was well versed in the concept of moving things, so it all went without a hitch.
