Proud Jersey girl Rosie Genova is a multi-genre author. Her work includes a Jersey shore cozy series, The Italian Kitchen Mysteries, and the upcoming Tess Mancini Time Travel Mysteries, set in 1955 Atlantic City. She is also the author of standalone suspense and a couple of rom-coms that presently live in her computer files (but are longing to be released into the wild). A former teacher and journalist, Rosie’s non-fiction has appeared in Entrepreneur magazine and The New York Times. The mother of three sons, Rosie still lives in her favorite state with her husband, too many dusty antiques, and a charming mutt named Lucy.

It's hard to compete with Book Lovers and Funny Story, but I applaud Henry for broadening her scope with this book. The back story--which had elements of the Hearst media empire/Citizen Kane--read more like a Taylor Jenkins Reid novel than a straight ...more

This was the last entry in the When in Rome series, which overall, I really enjoyed. If I have one quibble, it's that the heroes are a tad too perfect for me. Truly unicorns. I mean, they're lovely--particularly James, in this book--but a few more fl ...more

“I took another slug of my coffee—like most of my old boyfriends, it was strong, dark, Italian and slightly bitter. . .”
Rosie Genova, Murder and Marinara

“Gio Parisi was a good-looking man,if your taste ran to dissolute Roman emperors.”
Rosie Genova, Murder and Marinara

“In a matter of seconds, the sky darkened and the first fat drops of rain splashed around us. We went from table to table to gather our guests, smiling to mask our nervousness as the wind blew harder. As I watched the empty chairs overturning and the linens on the grape arbor flapping like sails, I was seized with a sudden fear. The wind whipped the trees; the creak of branches presaged the first sharp flash of lightning, followed by a thunder crack that set my heart pounding.”
Rosie Genova, A Dish Best Served Cold
