Ginny Lynn Peebles has been writing since (approximately) 1989, roughly around the time she learned to read and spell her name in chicken scratch. She began with poems, and gradually moved up to short stories, before beginning her first "book" in middle school.

That book was a collaboration with a friend, titled "Diamonds and Destiny". She and her friend worked on it until their sophomore year of high school, yet only made it to chapter three. In their defense, however, they were both reasonably good students, and they were writing by hand, passing the notebook back and forth like some kind of guilty secret.
