| David Estes Fans ...: April's Theme Reading Challenge! (New Author's Challenge) | 90 | 74 | Jun 01, 2013 07:11AM |
“Writing a book is an adventure. To begin with it is a toy and an amusement. Then it becomes a mistress, then it becomes a master, then it becomes a tyrant. The last phase is that just as you are about to be reconciled to your servitude, you kill the monster and fling him to the public.”

Oh thanks so much for letting me know Tabitha. That's lovely to hear. :) I'm glad you like my books...
Just reading 'Worth Keeping' and having to ration myself, because it's very lovely and I don't want to finish too soon. So to speak. I love your writing - thank you!
Hi there thanks! Yes, I have an exclusive reveal for it with Totallybooked in the UK so I haven't started promoting it yet. So if you could keep it low key for now I'd appreciate it. I'm glad you liked it! BTW if you ever want something exclusive for you blog like an excerpt or a coda or something let me know I'd be happy to do something special for you :)
Hi Susan, I saw the YouTube book trailer for Worth Keeping. It's the first time I've seen a book trailer on YouTube where I wasn't already aware of the book so it seems to work as a marketing tool! The trailer looks great and the book sounds fabulous so I am really looking forward to reading it.
Rochelle wrote: "Thanks for the friend-invite Susan. I very much enjoyed Stripped Bare :)"My pleasure, Rochelle, I'm glad you liked Shane and Matthew's story :)
Hi Dustin (or is that Dusty?)I appreciate you askin' lol. It's great to meet you, I have a lot of online friends in Texas. Seems a great place to be.
I loved your author bio, I chuckled for ages. I hope that burly sexy cowboy rides by one day and sweeps you into his arms. I'm writing a gay male romance at the moment so we can swap stories! I'll give you a read too, if you're as quirky in there as you are on your author profile, I know I'm in for a good time *chuckle*
Hi VeronicaHow could I not include Mr. Cumberbatch in my list, huge fan that I am. My hero in my debut novel, Bennett Saville, is modelled on him so I have to be :)
If it wasn't for me wanting to create a character based on him the book probably wouldn't have been written in the first place. I even dedicated it to him lol.
Hi CarolGood to be buddies. I love Sherlock Holmes too. I have to confess I have a bit of a thing for the new BBC Sherlock series which is brilliant. If you take a look at my website and blog you'll see just how much lol. I look forward to sharing posts and news with you on great books.
Thank you for the friend invite, Susan! I love Sherlock Holmes as well. In fact, I have been watching some of the Jeremy Brett series recently on DVD.

I've started this new feature on my website, interviewing interesting people and finding out what makes them tick. Dan Calley has the honour of being the first guest. He kindly answers some questions about himself, and tells us about the new debut book he's written, due out in December 2023. Dan Calley [...]
