Mark Ireland is the author of "Soul Shift: Finding Where the Dead Go" and "The Persistence of the Soul", which is an updated, expanded, and re-edited version of "Messages from the Afterlife". These books are moving accounts of Mark's personal quest for answers about life after death subsequent to the loss of his youngest son.

Mark is the son of Dr. Richard Ireland, a renowned mid-twentieth-century psychic-medium. Mark has engaged in engaged in consciousness survival experiments, collaborating with respected scientists, including the late Neuroscientist/Theorist, Dr. Don Watson, and Tricia Robertson of the Scottish SPR. Additionally, Mark contributed an essay to medium Allison Dubois' book, "We Are Their Heaven."
