Hearts of Glass by Arianne Richmonde
I realize I've been very bad about keeping up to date with the blog about my new releases. My latest books are Shards of Glass and Broken Glass (already released), the first two books in The Glass Trilogy. Hearts of Glass is next, which I have nearly finished writing. I'm hoping for a late June release. Sorry for the wait, I had a bit of a health setback (I'm fine now).
The Glass Trilogy is set in Hollywood, about actress Janie Cole and her sexy director Daniel Glass. There is a lot of passion, some angst, and mystery, which hots up in Broken Glass and gets really going in Hearts of Glass. So if you enjoy romantic suspense novels, and especially if you want to know more about my characters from The Pearl Series and The Star Trilogy, you'll love Janie and Daniel's love story. Make sure you sign up to my newsletter to be informed of the release date, by clicking on the envelope on the top right hand corner of my home page.
Here are a few reader's and bloggers reviews of the series so far:

Remember that professor you had a crush on? You know the one? The one who during your college years you swooned over, dreamed about those naughty dreams at night, but alas, he was married so dreaming was the only option? Well, this is the story of Janie, actress in the making, and Daniel, Tony award winner director-actor-professor. He is a taskmaster, but he is able to bring out the best of on stage. He is the picture of her fantasy in flesh... just unapproachable.Fate throws them back together a few years after graduation. This is Janie's big chance at making it in Hollywood. By now, his wife has died in an accident and he is available. Is this Fate telling them their time has come?
Once again I am hooked by Arianne's storyline and prose. She can weave a story with a myriad of emotions and complexities like few can. This particular story is near and dear to me because someone close to me actually went through something similar to this. I know things like this can and have happened, making this story even more meaningful.
The attraction between these two characters was palpable as I read this story. There is a long journey ahead for them before their love can be proven true. In the meantime, we are the voyeurs watching this evolving erotic romance as each of them find their niche and discover their future.

Unique and amazing! by Vicky:
I want to start this review by saying that I've never read anything like this before. The storyline was as unique as the writing style. I loved it.
Daniel Glass is a theatre director. He is broody, aloof and strict with his actors. He is also engaged to Natasha, one of the most succesfull theatre actresses. He is also incredibly handsome.
Janie Cole is an actress with a very big problem; she is deeply in love with her theatre director, Daniel. She is young, she is talented but as a woman she is ignored and treated like a child from him.
Her emotional turmoil gets even more complicated when she finds out that he is engaged to be married to Natasha.Time passes and Janie finds out that Daniel's wife has passed away. She doesn't see him again until she is offered a movie role. After the encouragement of her famous actress friend, Star, she travels to L.A. to meet the producers and the director. She is shocked to find out that Daniel Glass has the reins in the direction.
After he pulls out of the project, she stays to film the movie. Things get twisted again and Mr. Glass returns to make the film artsy and classy. He has conditions though; he wants Janie to play the lead, shoot the film in black and white and....star in the leading man's role himself. Janie's fantasies are finally going to come to life...Or won't they?
The writing was exquisite, the pace steady and the characters well developed.
5 Stars from me. Cannot wait for Broken Glass.

I was left wanting more and wanting it now at the end of the first book in this series, Shards of Glass and for me, Broken Glass was very much worth the wait.
At the end of Shards of Glass, Janie had just found out that her leading man Cal had been fired from the movie they were filming, The Dark Edge of Love. Not only that but Daniel was back as the director and he was also going to be playing her leading man.
The chemistry between them runs HOT but before they have a chance to start things up, Janie has an emergency that has her needing to get to Vegas right away.
Once Janie handles the emergency, she joins back up with Daniel. This is where the heat turns up between them and OH MY these two were SCORCHING HOT!
Just when things seem to be going well for them, we are thrown for a HUGE LOOP!And then ANOTHER and ANOTHER! This is where the story ends for now, yep with a cliffhanger that will have your jaw dropping to the floor and thinking NO! THAT JUST DID NOT HAPPEN!
I am now going crazy with want for book 3, Hearts of Glass. This IS a MUST read for me and I can hardly wait to read what will happen next.

Star Trilogy Sound Track
July 7, 2014
My lovely readers,
I'm thrilled to tell you I've been bus...
My lovely readers,
I'm thrilled to tell you I've been busy writing a new contemporary romance novella series and the first book is out now! SHOOTING STAR is the first book in the three-part Beautiful Chaos series. It's approx 23,000 words long and is for sale for a special introductory price of only 99 cents! SHOOTING STAR does have a cliffhanger, but book 2, Falling Star, will be released in twenty days' time, (July 27th 2014) so not too long to wait!
Here's the blurb:
Meet two dysfunctional products of Hollywood.
Star Davis and Jake Wild: they’ve met their match.
19-year-old Oscar winning Star Davis is an A-list movie star. Hell-raisingly beautiful, she tosses men aside like used Kleenex. She commands 20 million per movie—or at least did until drugs, alcohol, wild partying, and a police arrest sent her kicking and screaming into rehab.
Now she’s out, squeaky clean, and determined to win the role she was born to play: the lead in Skye’s The Limit—ready to re-conquer Hollywood.
26-year-old British director Jake Wild lives up to his name: he’s the wildest player in town. He’s also Hollywood royalty. From a family dynasty of powerful directors and producers, Jake’s home is a movie set. With reams of hot starlets at his beck and call, Jake can get any woman he wants. But with his new movie, Skye’s The Limit in pre-production, he’s decided it’s time to get serious and change his philandering ways.
Star is “liability on legs” and Jake doesn’t want her near his precious movie. But Star has wily ways of getting what she wants. And apart from the role of Skye, what she wants is Jake right where he belongs:
Under her thumb.
Lights, camera, action . . .
But the action is not what Jake expected.

A paperback of all three Star books in one volume will be released in August.
You can also add SHOOTING STAR to your Goodread's TBR list.
A reminder for those of you who have not read books 4 & 5 in The Pearl Series, Pearl, and Belle Pearl. These are from Alexandre's POV and tell a very different story! Belle Pearl goes beyond Shimmers of Pearl and has a different ending. They are now available in one volume in both ereader boxed set and paperback which works out more cost effective. The 6 x 9 paperback matches The Pearl Trilogy paperback size.

STOLEN GRACE – Arianne Richmonde’s new USA TODAY BESTSELLER!
I am thrilled and more than excited to announce that today I hit the USA TODAY bestseller’s list with STOLEN GRACE, my suspense story about a family in turmoil when their daughter, Grace goes “missing.” This is similar to an actor winning a Golden Globe (if you’re not quite sure how important hitting the USA TODAY bestseller’s list is).
This novel has been years in the making and was complicated to write on many levels although I loved every minute of writing it.
These are some of the reviews I have received on Amazon:

Wow…. just Wow! Hold on a minute and let me recover from this emotional roller coaster of a book before I can even begin to tell you all of the wonderful things about it. I have experienced anguish, anger, and immense happiness. There are so many things going on in this book that make it outstanding. First you are exposed to a marriage that is on rocky ground. Then you are thrown for a loop when a traumatic event rocks this family, and you get to see how they handle it.
What also makes this book wonderful and unique is you get to see inside each of the 3 main characters’ heads and see the issues from their individual perspectives. Yes, I know it’s not totally unique to be inside main characters’ heads, in this case, Sylvia and Tommy, but what makes it unique is that you also get to be inside their daughter Grace’s head. We are very rarely exposed to events through a child’s perspective and for the author to write from Grace’s perspective was very brilliant. You are challenged throughout this book to think about what you would do and how you would feel if these circumstances were happening to you. Overall, this was a wonderful, suspenseful, emotional read that you will not regret adding to your TBR list!

I read this almost in one go, abandoning chores because I couldn’t put it down. Not only for the heart-pounding plot, and twists and turns which had me gasping with surprise but because of the beautiful, lyrical writing. The descriptions and emotional pull of the three main characters: Sylvia, Grace and Tommy.
It is very unusual to read a book partly written in a child’s POV. And I wasn’t sure if it would work. But it does. It really does. In fact, Grace’s passages were the ones I relished the most; the innocence of a five-year-old but who is sparky and highly intelligent, who pinpoints things in such a way that makes you laugh and pull at your heartstrings. Ms. Richmonde really makes you remember what it was like to be little. I had almost forgotten! The way a child thinks so literally, and the machinations of a young mind. Bravo for doing such a convincing portrait that I really believed.
Stolen Grace starts off about a marriage which is going through a lot of turmoil. We have all been there with our spouse or partner so I really identified on that scale. The quibbles/quarrels, the mistrust et cetera. Both the parents, Sylvia and Tommy go through the wringer in this suspense novel, more so than even Grace in a way. All three are victims of circumstance, of outside forces that they can’t control. A villain who is nuanced, who at times, unbelievably, you almost feel sorry for.
That’s what fascinated me about Stolen Grace. By the end of the book the family somehow heals through adversity. The book is about the fight for a family’s survival as well as being a search for a needle in a haystack (Grace who goes “missing”). It is compelling on many levels.
It’s not easy to write a review for a thriller without giving away too much so I won’t go on. But I do think Stolen Grace will appeal to all sorts of readers who like suspense or romance, both women and men, and teenagers even. It is a touching story but also terrifying on a visceral level. We all fear losing loved ones. We all fear for our children’s safety ,and Arianne Richmonde has touched on some pretty sensitive themes that really give you food for thought, long after you’ve finished the book.
An intense, unusual and satisfying read that I would recommend to anyone.

I devoured this book, couldn’t put it down! Love that the story is told from alternating POV for the 3 main characters, great way to see the whole plot develop.

If I were to weigh out the ingredients in Stolen Grace I’d say it is a half domestic thriller, quarter literary suspense and a quarter love story. But truthfully, it’s unlike anything else Ive ever read. My friend gifted me the paperback and I’m so glad she did as I may never have bought this book left to my own devices. It is told from three perspectives. Tommy, the husband, Sylvia and little Grace their adopted five-year-old daughter who is one of the truest and most authentic characters I have ever read. Before you wonder if you’d like a tale told partially from a child’s POV, let me say it really works. I have never felt so in a character’s head, ever. Grace is clever, inquisitive and smart. She has some great one-liners that will make you laugh. She’s a total charmer.
That’s what I loved about this book. It has everything; humor, suspense and a lot of drama. Great characters. Incredible descriptions of places. You feel you are THERE. Wyoming, Central America, South America. This novel will take you on a roller coaster ride but at the same time this is pure literary fiction with images and unusual settings and scenes conjured up by the author that make it very special.
It’s about a marriage in trouble and a child caught in between and you think you’re going to read some “domestic drama” sort of book but before you have hardly turned the page you’re taken along another path. Lots of twists and turns, wacky, odd-ball characters. No cliches, this isn’t strictly a “genre” book so you can’t put it in a box.
You’ll LOVE this unusual book.

Stolen Grace, Arianne Richmonde’s new bestselling novel.
“A very dramatic, spellbinding, and out of the box success for Ms. Richmonde!! I LOVED every minute of it!!”
– Kawehi Reviews
“I couldn’t put it down, and am aching not only to re-read it, but to instigate reading it with a group or book club where I can challenge others to deliberate their own life tenets through the engaging storyline, shocking plot turns, and surprising conclusion. Five exhilarating, thought-provoking and courageous stars!”
– The Book Enthusiast
A marriage on the rocks.
Their little daughter caught in between.
And a woman who will stop at nothing.
Sylvia and Tommy Garland and their five-year-old daughter Grace have moved from the bright lights of New York City to the peaceful wilderness of the Wyoming countryside. But with the recession on their heels, Tommy leaves for LA for a job interview, and Ruth, a friend of Sylvia’s, comes to stay.
In an unexpected turn of events, a family tragedy forces Sylvia to leave Ruth in charge of little Grace for just one day.
A decision that will tear their lives apart.
Stolen Grace is a roller coaster of emotions with twists and turns, a tale of lies and deception, of redemption and forgiveness.
And ultimately, a love story.
An Interview with Arianne Richmonde about Stolen Grace.
Stolen Grace is very different from The Pearl Series. What made you change course?
I wrote Stolen Grace several years ago and it was sitting on my hard drive without a home. I then became so busy with Pearl and Alexandre in The Pearl Series that I didn’t have time to do anything about Stolen Grace. In fact, it isn’t the only novel I have locked away . . . there are more! I had to rewrite it. It’s always that way when you go back to something you’ve abandoned for a while. I gave it several more edits, et voila!
But it isn’t a romance, is it?
No, it’s not a “romance” but it is, in effect, a love story. It is about a marriage that is in trouble and how it is saved by adversity. Sometimes you have to go through Hell to see Heaven again. That’s what life is. A journey. You don’t appreciate the good until you have lived through the bad. The story is centered around five-year-old Grace, Tommy and Sylvia Garland’s adopted daughter. The book is written from three points of view: Sylvia’s, Tommy’s and Grace’s so you get to live through each one of them.
It is very unusual to read an adult novel written from a five-year-old’s point of view. And yet, without that, the book would have been completely different. At what point in your creative process did you decide to tell the story from Grace’s perspective?
Right from the beginning, I knew that if the novel wasn’t told, at least partly in Grace’s voice, then I would only have half a story. The only way this book would work, I decided, was for the reader to experience things through Grace’s eyes on a very personal level. I did have an editor warn me that nobody wants to hear a five-year-old’s point of view in an adult novel. I disagreed. Readers tell me that Grace is their favorite character so I am glad I followed my instinct.
How did you manage to get so thoroughly into the mindset of such a young child?
I have a great memory, especially long-term. So many of the things that Grace felt and said came directly from my feelings and memories as a child. There is no filter at that small age and kids tend to be honest about their thoughts, until they are conditioned otherwise. I have vivid memories from childhood that seem as if they happened yesterday. The emotions never leave you, both happy and sad. I incorporated all that into Grace’s character.
Do you think your contemporary romance readers will enjoy Stolen Grace?
I think those who are open-minded will. In fact, many of my fans have already told me they adore it. I know there are some people who never veer from the path of contemporary romance but I think a lot of my readers appreciate all kinds of genres. Let’s face it, The Pearl Series is already different from almost everything out there in that genre. How many erotic romances do you read about a dysfunctional forty-year-old and a man fifteen years younger? I’m not interested in writing the sort of book that has a typical storyline with generic characters. I want to make my reader think and reflect, not just mindlessly thumb through pages. Not that there’s anything wrong with books like that, sometimes it’s just what you need after a long day at work. But I do like to create characters that are different or are thrown into emotional turmoil like Pearl and Alexandre when they first meet, or are hurled into some extraordinary circumstance that is out of their control like Sylvia, Tommy and Grace in Stolen Grace.
Stolen Grace is an emotionally charged roller coaster but in the end an uplifting tale. Are you believer in happy endings?
Yes, I am. Especially after people have had to toil for them. It’s like a prize that they really deserve. I won’t say anything about Stolen Grace because I don’t want to give away any spoilers but I will say that the ending is a happy one. Although my poor characters have to work extremely hard to get there!

Belle Pearl – the breathtaking conclusion to Pearl and Alexandre’s love story.
Belle Pearl, is the fifth book and the conclusion to Arianne Richmonde’s bestselling books in The Pearl Series: Shades of Pearl, Shadows of Pearl, Shimmers of Pearl and Pearl; the tumultuous and heart-rending love story between forty-year-old documentary producer, Pearl Robinson, and French Internet billionaire, Alexandre Chevalier, fifteen years her junior.
This book continues from where we left off in Pearl, from Alexandre’s point of view, and continues the story BEYOND Shimmers of Pearl, so has a completely different ending than the trilogy. As with Pearl, there are many scenes in this novel that do not feature in The Pearl Trilogy.
At only twenty-five, Alexandre Chevalier is a billionaire. His social media site, HookedUp, is more popular than Twitter, more global than Facebook. With his devastating looks, alluring charm, and his immense wealth, he has women falling at his feet, desperate for his attention—ex girlfriends and an ex-fiancée who simply cannot let him go. Although his heart is set on only Pearl, she tests him to his limits and proves that she is even more damaged than he first believed.
Alexandre’s dark and dysfunctional past makes him crave a normal relationship with Pearl but he soon finds out that she is anything but your average woman. However, he believes that they are both two peas in the same dysfunctional pod, made to ‘dis-function’ together, and is determined to make their union work. But Pearl puts Alexandre in a position where he is made to choose. His loyalties are split, his patience torn.
After many trials, misunderstandings, and revelations of dark secrets, their wedding finally ensues and it looks as if their happily ever after is sealed.
Until something unforeseen rips their world apart.
This is novel #5 – the conclusion to The Pearl Series and is by no means stand-alone.
Reading order:
Shades of Pearl
Shadows of Pearl
Shimmers of Pearl
