I am so curious how many of you have already started The Society Trilogy and how many are waiting until all three books are published! I say that because yes, that cliffhanger... I do hope you are loving Requiem of the Soul as much as Ashleigh and I did while writing it! I just finished editing Reparation of Sin and it was so nice to be back in Santiago and Ivy's world. I kind of want to move in.

Hey guys,

Happy New Year! Is it only January 13th? What a week it's been...Here in Holland, our lockdown was extended to February 9th but on the upside, we're all healthy and, well, taking it day by day and going on a lot of walks. I don't know about you but I really need a haircut.... I'm looking a little wild these days but hey, so is everyone else! Seriously though, I hope you're all healthy and safe and have some amazing books to read.

As this year comes to a close I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I hope 2021 will be a good one for you and your families.

2020 has been a crazy year. Most of my family has been home since March. We’ve had Covid and survived it, thank goodness, although we’re still not sure how we got it in the first place because we almost never leave the house! Can I blame the kids?? ;)

On the down side I haven't seen my parents or sisters in the US for over a year now. Thank goodness for FaceTime and I have to admit, it is always fun to FT with my mom. You just never know if you'll be looking at the carpet while you're talking or the top of her forehead or what... :) I do miss her especially though.

At home I've redone my office, painted a couple of walls to give myself a proper cave and have been very busy writing. I announced my new duet, To Have and To Hold, an Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance, coming early in 2021 and I am happy to say I have confirmed dates!

Cara Bristol has updated Naughty Words for Nice Writers, a super handy thesaurus for romance authors. I've used this myself and recommend!

Two years ago, I published the first edition of Naughty Words for Nice Writers. The sex scene thesaurus developed out of my need for functional, usable synonyms. I wrote the book that I needed. In addition to words for sex acts, body parts, and the like, Naughty Words included some tips on how to write a sex scene. My goal was to serve the full range of eroticism: from sweet/fade to black to graphic/explicit.
Of course, as soon as Naughty Words was published, I thought of more words I could have included, and began planning for a second edition. Naughty Words for Nice Writers (A Romance Novel Thesaurus) contains 800 more synonyms than the original, for a total of 2000+. In addition, since users indicated they also appreciated the sex scene writing tips, I added more how-to type information.
Among the new sections are: voice sounds, descriptions for muscles, sex scene locations, setting the scene with bedroom basics, sexual positions, how to remove clothing, sexual metaphors, and things you might find in a BDSM dungeon.
Although spanking is no longer in the subtitle, the spanking section is still in the book and has been expanded with a couple of new sections.
Naughty Words is available in paperback and ebook. I strongly recommend the paperback because it is more functional. This is a reference book that you will use often, possibly every time you write. You can keep it right by your computer and won’t have to open up your Kindle or a computer file to access it.
