I grew up in a small town on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada, watching old Star Trek reruns in the evening and Doctor Who episodes in the middle of the night. I loved watching Cosmos with Carl Sagan, and every night I dreamed about traveling in a starship of my imagination.

I went to the University of British Columbia and graduated with a degree in Physics, with a minor in Astronomy. My father introduced me to computers when I was young, and I remain fascinated with them to this day. From my humble Heathkit with its monochrome screen to my modern-day powerhouse PC with virtual reality, I gravitated towards games and simulations that could take me places I had never been.
