John F. Lorne was raised in the Bronx by a single mother and shaped by a world that taught him resilience early on. From the train yards of New York, where he founded the Morris Park Crew (MPC) featured in the PBS documentary Style Wars, to the quiet hills of New Mexico, John’s life has been one of redemption, creativity, and purpose.

After losing his first wife, Heide, to cancer, he turned to writing as a way to heal and reach others who’ve known heartbreak and starting over. His books — Surviving Grief and Love Across Borders — reflect that journey, exploring loss, love, and the strength to rebuild when life breaks you open.
